What is the difference between the HAG Capisco models?

The Capisco 8106 and 8107 feature a fully upholstered seat and backrest, offering a softer, more premium feel. The Capisco Puls 8010 and 8020, by contrast, have a plastic backrest with a partially upholstered seat, making them a lighter and more minimalist option.

The HÅG Capisco 8107 is essentially the HÅG Capisco 8106 with an added adjustable headrest. The headrest can be adjusted in height and depth, providing extra comfort and support.

The HAG Capisco Puls 8020 features a plastic seat with a full cushion, offering a balance between firmness and comfort. In contrast, the Capisco 8106 is fully upholstered, providing enhanced comfort for extended sitting periods.

Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik created the HÅG Capisco 8106 in 1984 to redefine sitting at work. Instead of one fixed posture, the chair encourages movement and variation, making it a true ergonomic office chair. Today, the HÅG Capisco 8106 is one of the most iconic office chairs in Europe.

Which gas lift height should I choose for my HAG Capisco?

- Low Gas Lift 150 mm (Seat Height 41-55 cm): Ideal for individuals up to 165 cm tall. Not suitable for sit-stand workstations and not compatible with a footring.

- Standard Gas Lift 200 mm (Seat Height 47-65 cm): Recommended for persons between 165 and 185 cm tall. Compatible with standing desks and can be equipped with a foot ring for additional comfort.

- High Gas Lift 265 mm (Seat Height 56-79 cm): Best suited for individuals taller than 185 cm, or for use with fixed desks higher than 90 cm. In the latter scenario, a footring is advised to ensure optimal sitting posture.

Which wheels should I choose?

Choose wheels for hard floors if your flooring is wood, tile, or laminate. Opt for wheels for soft floors if you have carpet. If you have mixed flooring or frequently switch between hard and soft surfaces, universal wheels are the best choice.

Why would I need a footring for the HAG Capisco?

A footring is highly recommended if you cannot comfortably place your feet flat on the ground, for example, when working at a high fixed desk. In other situations, a foot ring provides additional versatility by allowing you to vary your sitting positions. While it can enhance overall comfort, it is not essential for maintaining a proper working posture.

If you opt for a 265 mm gas spring, we recommend adding a footring in most cases.

How much weight can the HÅG Capisco support?

The HÅG Capisco office chairs are tested and approved according to both EN 1335 Class A (European standard for persons up to 110 kilograms) and ANSI Bifma (American standard).
