The 9031 is the 9021 with an adjustable headrest — and the headrest is not a fixed pillow. It sits on the active upper back, so it follows you forward as you recline and keeps your neck supported in every position.
Shared by the 9021 and 9031: seat height 38.7–52.5 cm on the standard 150 mm gas lift (a 200 mm lift is optional), seat width 455 mm with adjustable depth, five-star aluminium base Ø740 mm with sloping footplates, tilt tension adjustable forwards and backwards and lockable in three positions, HÅG TiltDown™ armrests adjustable in height and width.

The three Tributes at the same scale. All three share the same high, S-curved back with the extra comfort layer; the 9031 adds an adjustable headrest, and the 9073 trades the task mechanism for a simpler meeting chair on a smaller base. Compare all three side by side.
How it works
Built to keep you moving, even in an executive chair
HÅG inBalance® — the chair moves with you
The seat and back tilt around a pivot near the middle of the seat, so the chair follows you forwards when you lean into the desk and backwards when you sit back to think. You set the resistance for your weight in both directions, and you can lock it in three positions when you want it still.
An S-curved back with an active upper part
The Tribute's back follows the natural S of the spine. As you recline, the upper part of the back and the headrest move forward to stay in contact with your shoulders, so the support does not fall away just when you lean back. The lumbar support is built into the back and adjusts to where your lower back actually is.
HÅG TiltDown™ armrests
Adjustable in height and width, and they tilt down out of the way, so you can pull the chair right up to the desk edge without the arms hitting it. The tops are black leather as standard — or, on a leather chair, the same leather as the seat at no extra cost.
The coat hanger
Only the 9031 can take Flokk's coat hanger, which mounts behind the headrest — in black or polished aluminium. The configurator only offers the finish that matches your aluminium: black with all-black or polished-base-black-details chairs, polished with an all-polished chair, and both with the two mixed finishes.
Materials
Fabric or leather, and what it costs
A 9031 carries more upholstery than any other Tribute — the high back, the extra comfort layer, the seat and the headrest — so the covering is the single biggest influence on both the price and the character of the chair. The configurator offers the five families below; dozens more are available on request.
- Cura Loop (Gabriel) and Xtreme (Camira) — price group 1, included in the base price. Hard-wearing, mostly recycled polyester; Xtreme Black is the classic boardroom choice.
- Select (Gabriel) — group 2. A fine, dense weave in fifteen colours, from charcoal to glacier blue.
- Capture (Gabriel) — group 3. A textured melange with more depth than a plain weave, in ten colours.
- Paloma Soft (Wollsdorf) — group 6. Supple chrome-free leather in six colours, from black to cognac.
- Elmosoft (Elmo) — group 7. Elmo's semi-aniline leather, in black, dark brown and cognac: the Tribute at its most traditional.

What to decide at order time
Almost everything can be serviced or replaced later. The gas lift is a service job to change — so decide on it now.

Environment
Flokk publishes an independently verified Environmental Product Declaration for the Tribute: 84.41 kg CO₂e per chair, 45.90 % recycled content by weight and 1,258 MJ of life-cycle energy, measured on the 9031 with TiltDown armrests. The chair is made in Røros, Norway, in an ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 plant. Back, seat and headrest are replaceable as complete parts, so a worn cover never means a new chair.
Lead times
Every Tribute is built to your specification after you order, so the covering you choose sets the wait:
- HÅG Quick-Ship — 15 working days. This model is in the programme in a small set of popular colours; ask us which.
- Standard collection — 20–25 working days. Every fabric and leather in the configurator above is standard collection.
- Polished aluminium and larger orders can take a little longer; we confirm the date with your order.
Indicative delivery times including transport. Quick-Ship orders cannot be changed or cancelled once placed.
Warranty
- 10 years on the chair and accessories, in normal use up to nine hours a day.
- 5 years above nine hours a day, and in 24/7 use with an approved covering.
- 10 years on standard-collection fabrics and leathers in normal use.
Covers parts against material and manufacturing defects; labour and travel are chargeable. Full terms on the warranty page. The chair arrives flat-packed with a short assembly. For larger quantities or a specification outside the configurator, ask us for a quote, or see business clients.

Svein Asbjørnsen — sapDesign®
The Tribute is drawn by Svein Asbjørnsen, whose studio sapDesign® sits between the fjord and the mountains in Sykkylven — a Norwegian town that has built furniture for generations. It is made by Flokk in Røros, the same factory that builds the HÅG Capisco, Creed and SoFi.

What is the difference between the HÅG Tribute 9031 and 9021?
The headrest. The 9031 adds an adjustable headrest on the active upper back, and it can take a coat hanger. Seat, back, mechanism, armrests and base are the same.
Does the headrest move?
Yes. It is height-adjustable, and because it sits on the active upper back, it moves forward with you as you recline — so your neck stays supported when you lean back.
Can the headrest be removed?
It is a complete, replaceable part (134191), so it can be replaced if it is ever damaged. If you simply do not want a headrest, the 9021 is the chair to order.
Is the Tribute available in leather?
Yes. The configurator offers Paloma Soft (Wollsdorf) in six colours and Elmosoft (Elmo) in three. On a leather chair the armrest tops can be in the same leather at no extra cost.
Which gas lift should I choose?
The standard 150 mm lift gives a seat height of 38.7–52.5 cm and suits an ordinary desk. The 200 mm lift raises the seat for taller users or higher desks. It is a service job to change later, so decide when you order.
What is the maximum user weight?
110 kg unless otherwise stated — the basis of EN 1335, the European office-chair standard.
How sustainable is the HÅG Tribute?
Flokk publishes an independently verified EPD for the 9031: 84.41 kg CO₂e per chair and 45.90 % recycled content by weight. It holds GREENGUARD Gold and Möbelfakta, and back, seat and headrest are replaceable parts.
