If you do not find the fabric you desire in the HÅG Standard Fabrics and Colors collection, you can explore a broader selection in our Extended collection.

We offer a 10-year warranty on fabrics and leather from the Standard collection, and a 5-year warranty on the Extended collection (use up to 9 hours per day). On our polyurethane-coated fabrics, Illusion and PUxx 1, we also provide a 5-year warranty. Please note that delivery time is 20 - 25 working days from the factory, depending on the supplier's stock availability. Abrasion Resistance

Measures how well a fabric can withstand surface wear caused by rubbing.

The Martindale test measures the durability of fabric by simulating wear and tear. The higher the number, the more resistant the fabric is to abrasion. The general guidelines are:

  • 10,000–15,000 Martindale: Suitable for light domestic use (e.g., cushions, light chairs).
  • 15,000–25,000 Martindale: Suitable for general domestic use.
  • 25,000–50,000 Martindale: Suitable for heavy domestic or light commercial use.
  • 50,000+ Martindale: Suitable for heavy commercial use or demanding environments.

For example, at 200,000 Martindale, the fabric is far beyond what's required for even heavy commercial use, making it highly durable and long-lasting. It’s an excellent choice for environments with high wear and tear, such as offices, public spaces, or homes with heavy use.

Pilling

Indicates the formation of small fiber balls or "pills" on the surface of the fabric due to wear.

Pilling is typically measured on a scale from 1 to 5, with the following interpretations:

  • 1: Severe pilling
  • 2: Moderate to severe pilling
  • 3: Moderate pilling
  • 4: Slight pilling
  • 5: No pilling

For example, a grade of 4 means the fabric has minimal pilling and maintains a smooth appearance with regular use.

Color Fastness:

Refers to the fabric's ability to retain its color when exposed to light, washing, or other environmental factors.

Color Fastness Scale

  • 1: Very poor resistance to fading or discoloration.
  • 2: Poor resistance.
  • 3-4: Moderate resistance.
  • 5-6: Good resistance.
  • 7: Excellent resistance; the fabric retains its color even under extensive exposure to light, washing, and abrasion.

For example, a score of 5 means the fabric will maintain its original color exceptionally well, even in challenging conditions.
