Your Right to Return

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. For stock models, you have the right to return your order within 14 days of receipt, without giving any reason, provided the return complies with the terms outlined in our return policy.

For made-to-order chairs (customized products produced according to your chosen specifications such as fabric, color, gas lift, footring, etc.), the right of withdrawal does not apply under EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16c). These items are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable once production has started.

When can you return?

You can return your order within 14 days after you received it. Custom-made chairs, covers and spare parts are excluded from return.

How to return your order?

If you wish to return a chair, please let us know by sending an email to info@hag-office.com. Just make sure to send us your return request before the 14-day period ends.

What happens when you return an office chair

Once we receive your returned chair, we will issue a refund for the value of the chair. Shipping costs are non-refundable. The refund will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned item or upon presentation of valid proof of, whichever occurs first. The refund will be made via the original payment method.

No additional fees will be charged for the refund as long as you return the product in compliance with the guidelines outlined in our return policy.

Returning An Office Chair

  • Please return the chair in its original packaging within 14 days of notifying us of your intention to return.
  • You will need to cover the cost of the return.
  • You are liable for any loss in value of the office chair if it has been used more extensively than is necessary to check its condition, features and functionality.
  • Please also ensure that the item is packed securely and carefully for the return shipment. Should any damage or loss in value occur during the return shipment, you will be held responsible.

The following products cannot be returned:

  • Made-to-order chairs: Chairs that are not supplied from our stock but are manufactured specifically to your specifications. These are ‘made-to-order’ chairs, produced according to your preferences, for example regarding fabric, colour, gas lift or base;
  • Sealed chairs which, for health or hygiene reasons, are not suitable for return once the seal has been removed after delivery;
  • Chairs that have been inseparably mixed with other items after delivery;
  • Specially ordered items / Custom orders;
  • Spare parts;
  • Replacement covers;
  • Orders for larger quantities (at least 3 chairs);
  • Showroom models.

Other considerations and important information

  • If you'd like to order multiple products, consider testing one stock model first and ordering more later.
  • For products without their original packaging or for damaged goods, costs may be incurred for repairs or the replacement of parts. These will be deducted from the refund.
  • Shipping costs will not be refunded with a return.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client and are non-refundable.
  • Returns are usually processed within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Once the returned product has been inspected, the refund will be processed. It may take up to 14 days for your bank to process the refund.
  • Please note that you will not receive an automatic confirmation of receipt of your return. We will be happy to provide you with an update on the status of your return via email upon request.
  • During the trial period, we expect you to handle your order and the packaging carefully. If you still want to return the goods, you may only unpack and use them in accordance with the described terms.
  • The return must be received by us within 14 days of your return notification. Please use the original packaging for the return.
  • You are responsible for the transport when returning goods. If they are lost or damaged during transport, we cannot compensate you.
